Me & The Missus on a hike
I've returned from some much needed R&R and some unfortunate computer issues to report back from my little trip to central California. It was a wonderful time with friends and family and a nice little respite from city life. I was especially excited to get my daughter out of the house and into nature and she loved every minute of it. I heard from a friend that they may be passing legislation to increase driver registration fees and in return, granting U.S citizens free access to all public state parks. I'm not sure if this is a good thing but would motivate me and I hope others to take time to see all the beauty that surrounds us.
Enough Already
Gitman Vintage Navy Button Down Shirt
Okay, you know that feeling you get in your mouth when your about to bite into something really tasty? Your salivary glands get to working to the point where it is almost painful? That is literally what happens every time I see this shirt. I'm not joking, really it's crazy! I don't know what it is about it. I think it's something perceptually or chemically that happens that I can't explain. I do know that Navy is my favorite color and that the buttondown shirt is the perfect garment from a design perspective. Maybe there is something neurologically happening or it might even be the contrasting buttons. Forgive my ranting but I've been kinda avoiding buying this shirt because of this. Am I the only one that this happens too? Anyway, I've made a conscious decision to buy this shirt by the end of the week.
Patchy
Patches are definitely in this season and aren't just for college professors anymore. It seems like all the designers are throwing in a leather patch here or there for good measure. I couldn't resist picking this one up on sale to add to the fall ensemble. No one really does country gent like Ralph so you can trust him to do justice to the look. On the surface, it's pretty much your garden variety plaid shirt but the patches really add that extra something. I'll be taking this with me on an upcoming trip to the mountains I got planned.
