Classic Rugged Prep

Tommy Ton's  Milan fashion week shot's via GQ

I, like many, have been gawking at all the amazing street-style photo's from Milan fashion week that GQ has been posting. There are so many great styles and trends in menswear being represented but this guy's look really stuck with me. The tweed with army green trousers is something I've wanted to try and that tassel/gaiter/brogue paired with the nato strapped diver is adding the right amount of personal style to the mix. Head over to GQ and pick your favorite look!

O Magazine

Not Oprah's  but Tank magazine's mens fashion quarterly covering all things menswear from a British point of view. I picked this up recently and was impressed with the layout, editorials, and interviews of some of U.K menswear's movers and shakers. There was a very insightful  article on the history of Japanese fashion and its relationship with England. I recommend grabbing a copy.

Some call it Drab in certain circles. To be honest, I've avoided wearing stuff like this for some time. I'm not sure why but I think in the past I've wanted to steer clear of people thinking I was somehow in the military(although my father was a Marine) and wasn't quite sure how I'd effectively pull off the look. Fortunately, with the resurgence of modern menswear being what it is there are many more stylish options than there used to be. I'm pretty convinced I'll be adding some green military inspired outerwear to my wardrobe soon. Hopefully it will be something like these above. I hope I can look as good as these gents below:

Royal Republiq

Stumbled upon this accessories brand by Amsterdam based Royal Republiq. I don't know much about the brand as I don't understand or read Dutch but I do like these vintage-y pieces they make. The color and structure of the leather suits me and make up what I think are the "essentials" of any gents accessory game.
