I have to apologize for the corny blog post title but it's all I could come up with at the moment. I've become committed to building a suitable fall wardrobe and let me tell you, it's no small feat. I live in a coastal and almost tropical environment in which locals consider 65 ºC darn near blizzard status but if I role out in anything heavier than a windbreaker I start getting funny stares( strange, I know). Since I originally hail from the Midwest I have an appreciation for the quintessential autumn/winter look( Tweeds, Cords, Wools, Boots) and I'm intent on incorporating as much of it into my fall wardrobe as possible.
One of the staples I've neglected to get is a proper wool knit preferably in an Oatmeal or beige( if your less snobby) color. I think it's a great piece to have and will add coziness and a gentlemanly air to a fall look. I can see myself in either of the above styles(Cardie,Crew,Turtle) with some brown, olive, or navy cords, leather moc's or chukka boot sitting by a fireplace or on the pier with a hot mug in my hand watching the leaves turn brown.
I have a lot of cotton sweaters but not many wool ones if any. After this post I'll have to start searching.
